“I’ve been asked a lot for my view on American health care. Well, ‘it would be a good idea,’ to quote Gandhi.”
― Paul Farmer
There has been a great deal written on our website about Association Health Plans (AHPs) since the Executive Order was first issued over a year ago. Not only will AHPs save individuals that currently shop on the Exchange money, but it will help small business owners have alternative healthcare options for their employees. Right after the Department of Labor and the Treasury Department issued their policies over the summer, several insurance providers started forming fully insured products around AHPs.
One such plan includes Health Saving Accounts (HSAs). Contact a BenefitCorp consultant to learn about AHPs that have an incentive for HSA holders to get over $1000 added into their accounts by tracking activities such as walking or taking the stairs. Lower premiums and additional “free” HSA funds are a real thing for 2019 plans. Don’t miss out.
